# Claimable Events & How to Take Ownership

Some popular conferences are pre-created by the Callforpaper.org team or community members. They show a “Claimable” tag until the real organizer claims them.

**How to claim**

1. Open the event page → click **Claim this event**
2. Provide proof (website link, past edition, official email, etc.)
3. Our team reviews within 48 hours
4. Once approved, you become the owner and can edit everything

This prevents fake takeovers while letting legitimate teams take control instantly.
