# Verification Badges Explained

Verification badges help speakers and attendees identify authentic events and trusted organizers. A verified badge increases the credibility of your CFP and can significantly boost submission rates.

## Badge Levels

    **Level 1**: The organizer has verified their personal email address. This is the minimum requirement to publish an event.

    **Level 2**: The event is linked to a recognized organization domain (e.g., `@pycon.org` or `@google.com`). This confirms the event is officially sanctioned by the entity.

    **Level 3**: The CFP is hosted on a custom domain (e.g., `cfp.yourconf.com`). This provides the highest level of branding and trust.

## Claimable Events

Sometimes you might see an event marked as **"Claimable"**. These are community-sourced listings created by our team or users but not yet managed by the official organizer.
